Christiansburg, VA Youth Coaching Position

The Christiansburg Blue Demon Wrestling Club is looking to hire a head youth coach and off-season club coach by the fall of 2013. This would be a chance to work with the staff and wrestlers of the 12x defending state champions in Christiansburg VA. The Christiansburg Program is led by NCAA Champion Daryl Weber and is a regularly ranked in the top 20 in the nation. Practices are held at Hawkeye Hall. This is a dedicated facility with two mat areas, weight room, locker room, offices and more. There is a strong booster club and tremendous support in the Christiansburg Program.

Head Coach of the Youth Program will be in charge of all aspects of running the k-5th grade program, during the winter season running from mid-Nov thru February. There is also a 6 week Rec League Program (k-6) during the spring that this position would be in charge of as well.

The off-season club coaching duties would entail working alongside the CHS and CMS coaching staff with k-12th grade club wrestlers during the spring, summer and fall seasons. There is a strong Freestyle and Greco emphasis during the spring. The summer consists of helping with practices and camps. The fall is spent preparing for the upcoming season.

This position will pay up to $10,000/year depending on the applicants experience and qualifications. There is also an Internet Marketing position open within Coach Weber’s company that would pay up to $15,000/year with the potential for growth. We are looking for someone that will work closely with the M.S and H.S staff on all aspects for the youth and club season. The Christiansburg Program has been build off a systematic approach and the applicants should be someone that would work well within this system as well as bring fresh ideas and energy to the program.
