Assistant Coach Wrestling

ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY seeks an Assistant Coach for Wrestling (#22637) who, under administrative direction, provides coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach, Wrestling. Assists with planning and directing of recruitment, conditioning, training, and performance of team members for sports competition. Promotes intercollegiate Athletics as an integral part of the University. Assists the Head Coach, Wrestling in monitoring student athlete performance in furthering the success of the team and in meeting academic and eligibility criteria. Adheres to NCAA and PAC 10 rules and regulations, as well as the policies of the department, University, and the Arizona Board of Regents.


GENERAL INFORMATION: Work hours will vary to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. ASU conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years prior coaching experience at the college or university level; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Evidence of effective communication skills. Evidence of at least one year coaching experience at a Division I institution. Evidence of having qualified for and competed in the Division I NCAA tournament as an athlete. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
