University of Dubuque Graduate Assistant Coach
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Assist Head Coach in all aspects of coaching and administering a Division III wrestling program. Primary responsibilities include: academic mentoring, 1-1 meetings with athletes over academics, community service project administration, instructing, training, conditioning, developing and supervising student-athletes in micro-sessions; work in close contact with Head Coach on recruiting, event management, equipment, camp and clinic planning; and overall development of program. Position includes all graduate classes paid (Seminary, Business, or Communication)
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess bachelor degree. Good organizational skills and technical knowledge of sport required. Must possess good communication skills. Ability to work in accordance with the rules set forth by the University of Dubuque and the NCAA. Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, athletic staff and the college and community personnel. Ability to assist in spiritual, mental, and physcial development of athletes. Must be accepted into a graduate program at the University of Dubuque.
Position official start date begins August 26th, 2012, however candidate could begin Master's Degree classes as early as May 2012, depending on the interest of the individual hired.
