Wrestling Coaching Assistant at Arizona State Univ.
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY seeks a Coaching Assistant for Wrestling (#24719) who, under administrative direction, will provide coaching assistance to the Head Coach, Wrestling, by assisting in planning and directing the conditioning, training, and performance of the student athletes and in the competition of the team in intercollegiate programs. Reports to the Head Coach, Wrestling. Adheres to NCAA and PAC 10 rules and regulations as well as the policies of the department, the University, and the Arizona Board of Regents.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. CPR certification is required of all coaching staff within six months of hire. Training is provided by the department. ASU conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a related field AND one (1) year of coaching experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience with: using effective verbal and written communication skills; Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook); providing administrative support; coaching at the DI level; successfully organizing and scheduling practices; working independently; recruiting.
