Job Summary
This position is slated to begin immediately for the right candidate.
As a full-time, year-round position, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator assists the Managing Director, Brand Management Consultant, Director of Wrestling Operations, and Creative Director in the development of overall marketing and advertising strategies for the JRIC brand. This position provides support in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns which includes Digital, Social Media, Video, and Print mediums. Primary responsibilities are the execution and enhancement of all duties related to the marketing and promotion of JRIC wrestling camps, The Intensive Basketball Camp, and associated company ventures.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
• Coordination of ad placement, media buys, graphic design, planning and execution of promotions, website management, social media strategy development, and community management
• Responsible for executing contracts with all advertising partners (online, print, TV)
• Ensuring all components of front-end SEO are consistently updated and optimized; monitor SEO rankings and make adjustments accordingly
• Collaborate with JRIC team in development of marketing campaigns on regional and national level
• Assist with public and media relations
• Maintaining accurate customer database
• Provide recommendations to the marketing budget to increase reach and impact
• Collaborate with Creative Director for effective social media presence and creation of innovative digital/video campaigns
• Implement email marketing campaigns for all current and prospective camp clients
• Provide customer service support via incoming phone calls and email
• Updates job knowledge by researching marketing industry best practices and applying them to company’s marketing
• Updates skillset by continually learning and building proficiency with new software/design/video programs
• Other duties as assigned by Managing Director

Position Requirements
• Flexible schedule and ability to work extended hours leading up to and during the summer camp season (June – August)
• Willing to travel and work extended hours as needed for tournaments, exhibitions, camps, etc. throughout the year

Education and Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
• 2+ years of professional communications and/or marketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience utilizing social media tools and/or Google paid search campaigns to advance organizational objectives
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to external and internal customers
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Proficient in all relevant computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in graphic design (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in website management and maintenance (e.g. Joomla, Wordpress)
• Having an understanding of the sport of wrestling
• Appreciation for sports camps and their role in youth athletics
• Interest in athletics or general physical fitness
