Urbana University- Assistant Coach
Urbana University, a division of Franklin University, has an opening for a Part-Time Assistant Wrestling Coach. Reporting to the Head Wrestling Coach, the primary responsibilities for this position will be skill training, recruiting, budget management and coordinating summer wrestling camps and clinics. Other responsibilities will include evaluating and recruiting student athletes; planning and organizing team practices; coaching players individually or in groups; monitoring student-athlete academic progress; scouting of opponents; coordinating team travel; teaching and modeling good sportsmanship and character; and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
We seek someone with a Bachelor’s degree and highly developed communication skills for this role. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and must be willing to attend professional development opportunities. Prior experience playing and/or coaching wrestling at the collegiate level is preferred for this position. Knowledge of Division II NCAA rules and regulations preferred.
