ERIE, Pa. - The Mercyhurst Lakers annual Blue/Green dual took place Saturday morning in the Athletic Center.
"It is always tough to wrestle a teammate whom you wrestle with everyday in practice, but I would term the day a success as we came out pretty unscathed from a health point of view," Head Coach Tony Cipollone said. "We saw some good things and some things we better correct before next weekend. I thought our conditioning was pretty good for this time of the year."
Some of the bouts determined who would be in the starting lineup for next weekend's Avalon Duals against Edinboro, Maryland and Stanford, while some of the bouts were exhibition.
Mercyhurst will wrestle Edinboro at 1:00 followed by Maryland at 3:00 and Stanford at 5:00 at the Avalon Hotel in downtown Erie on November 4.
